MLA Pawar Patel outlines development plans for Mudhole Constituency
Khanapur: Mudhole MLA Pawar Ramarao Patel said development works had gained momentum in the constituency over the past three years, highlighting irrigation, roads, housing, education and healthcare as key priorities.
Speaking at the inauguration of an IKP building constructed at a cost of Rs 10 lakh in Sirala village, Bhainsa mandal, Nirmal district, on Sunday, Patel said the reconstruction of the Sirala Project was the first work he took up after becoming MLA. Completed within a year at a cost of Rs 12 crore, the project was now supplying irrigation water to farmers.
He criticised the previous government for neglecting road development for a decade, leading to transport difficulties. Under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), funds had been sanctioned in the first phase for 230 kilometres of roads, with work expected to be completed soon. A major road development programme would be undertaken over the next two years, he added.
Patel said 3,500 Indiramma houses had been sanctioned in the first phase and 1,000 in the second, assuring support for poor families.
He also said discussions were under way with officials to provide Sirala Project water for the rabi crop. Urging villagers to rise above political differences, he said development remained his priority.
