Nizamabad: Commissioner of Police Karthikeya said people should celebrate Durga Sharan Navarathri festival with devotion. In a press note released here on Thursday, he asked the organisers of Durgamata pandals to cooperate with the police.
People will celebrate Durga Sharan Navarathri from September 29 and pandal organisers have sought permission from the police to set up the statue of Durgamata. The Commissioner advised the padnal organisers to take adequate measures to protect the women and young people, who visit the pandals.
The organisers were also directed not to make inconvenience to the public with loudspeakers and told them to switch off the loudspeakers after 10 pm. DJ is completely banned, he added.
