Security ramped up at bus depots
Telangana police has made elaborate security arrangements in view of the Telangana bandh today as different employees unions, electricity staff, advocates, student’s organisations, auto and cab unions and opposition parties extended their support for the RTC employees stir.

DGP M Mahendar Reddy has alerted district SPs and Commissioners to take all precautionary measures and thwart untoward incidents in their respective areas and regions.
More focus will be kept on Nalgonda, Khammam, Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad and Mahabubnagar. On the other hand, the security arrangements in the three police commissionerates including Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda limits tightened to meet any situation and foil the attempts of agitators to create inconvenience to public.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, Cyberabad CP V C Sajjanar and Rachakonda CP Mahesh M Bhagwat held a meeting with all the senior officials of law and order, traffic and special branch, Intelligence and City Armed Reserve Police and prepared their action plan to tackle the situation arises during the bandh.
Under their strategy, they have decided to house arrest the important leaders and to take some of the student and employees association leaders into preventive custody from the morning hours today to maintain law and order and to curtail agitations in the Hyderabad and other outskirt areas of Cyberabad and Rachakonda.
To thwart any untoward incidents, the police chiefs ordered quick response from the senior police officials and their staff in their regions as soon as they came to know about an incident.
They ordered the police personnel to rush to the spot within minutes and planned to take the protestors into their custody.
Under the bandobust arrangements, the traffic police personnel on the ground are going to play key role in the dissemination of information to Dial 100 and through their sets to the law and order police about the protests in their respective area, so that the police personnel can rush to the spot in a less span of time and take them into custody.
They prepared a plan and deployed the large number of police personnel and the patrolling vehicles in different and important spots in the city to rush into the situation.
Elaborate security deployed at the Bus Bhavan at RTC crossroads and its surrounding areas to prevent any untoward incidents by the agitators.
As the government and RTC management have decided to run more number of buses today to avoid any inconvenience to the commuters and public.
Police imposed section 144 at the depots including MGBS, JBS and other depots in Greater Hyderabad to thwart any obstruction activities from the protestors.
More than 60 police personnel are guarding the depots to foil the efforts of protestors in front of the depots. Police deployed in large numbers at the important business and commercial establishments in the city.
