Hyderabad: Karimnagar MP and BJP Telangana State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said the entire party cadre will support the measures taken by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

In a letter written to the chief minister here on Tuesday, the BJP leader recalled the appeal made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking people to observe Janata Curfew and appreciated the series of measures put in place by the State government.

The BJP State chief said that in these troubled times his party will extend its fullest support to the measures of the State government in preventing the spread of the deadly virus.

Besides, he offered that lakhs of BJP party workers are ready to volunteer extending kind of support needed by the government for its programmes to contain the spread of the virus and any measures taken for the wellbeing and safety of the people of the State.

The BJP leader asked KCR to consider the State becoming the part of the Ayushman Bharat, a centrally sponsored medical insurance scheme. This will benefit people from Telangana living in different parts of the country, he added.

That apart, he asked the chief minister to consider allocating the vacant State Secretariat for isolation centre in case of more number of COVID-19 positive cases are reported in the State.

Further, the BJP MP brought to the notice of the chief minister how some people have been using the lockdown situation for their advantage hiking the prices of the vegetables and essential commodities.

He asked KCR to pay special attention to controlling the prices of the essential commodities to prevent hardships to the common people in the State.

The BJP leader while extending his Telugu new year "Sarvari" wishes asked people to celebrate the festival at their homes with the available commodities than venturing into the markets.

He wished for the safety and wellbeing to the families and the staff from the medical and health, sanitation, police, revenue and other government employees working hard to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
