The official said that in the last month, the revenue from GST alone was Rs 4,452 crore, reflecting a significant growth, compared to Rs 3,638 crore in July last year. The GST revenue collected from the state of Telangana in July 2026, which includes IGST, CGST, SGST collected from the taxpayers, was Rs.5,819 crore. “This represents a year-on-year growth of 19 per cent. This growth recorded in July is second highest among the states, after Haryana. The all India growth rate in GST collections from all states in July 2026 is 10 per cent”.

The official attributed the increase in revenues to a combination of factors like strong economic activity, rising investments, and expanding business opportunities, which contributed to increased employment, consumer spending, and proper tax collections.

The Chief Minister said in a statement:“ Since the Congress came to power in December 2023, Telangana is achieving new heights. We are India’s top-performing states. Our per capita income for this year (2025-26) is Rs 4,18,931 per person; an increase from Rs 3,80,031 in the last year. We grew by 10.23 % in a single year, an increase of Rs 38,900”, he said, adding that this was made possible through hard work, focus on economic growth, investments, jobs creation, balanced development across verticals, shift from ad hocism to policy-based governance, and lots of diligent work, constant reviews, attention to details, and constant engagement with stakeholders.”
