Mahabubabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths on Wednesday trapped a village revenue officer (VRO), who had been demanding a bribe from a farmer for issuance of pattadar passbook. VRO Shiva Rao demanded bribe from Pilli Bhadraiah of Maddivancha village under Garla
mandal, who applied for mutation and issuance of pattadar passbooks for his nine acre agriculture land.
Against this backdrop, Bhadraiah approached the ACB officials, who laid a trap. The officials caught the VRO red handed at the Tahsildar office while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.44 lakh from Bhadraiah.
