Warangal: The SR University formerly SR Engineering College (SREC) bagged 160th rank in All India Level Rankings in Engineering Category for the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and is positioned in the rank band: 151 – 200 in the overall category across India announced by the MHRD, said chairman of SR educational Society A.

Varada Reddy, on Friday. He stated that SREC is the only college outside Hyderabad to have Tier I NBA accreditation for all B.Tech programs and NIRF rank in Engineering and overall category.

Listing out the achievements of the college to be eligible for the all India rank, Mr Reddy said the college holds accreditation by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with 'A' Grade. "It has also been recognised as Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR).

Hosts a technology business incubator (SRiX) sponsored by NSTEDB, Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi and it is the largest Incubation Centre in a Tier – II city in India. 41 Patents and more than 2000 Research articles were published by faculty and students. 52 Sponsored Research Projects & Programmes by funding agencies like DST, AICTE, UGC, JNTU Hyderabad etc.

Collaborations with foreign universities: Purdue University, UMass Lowell, St. Louis University, University of Missouri in USA ; Cranfield University, UK and Deakin University, Australia," he said.
