In yet another tragic incident, Ravindar who suffered a heart attack during the RTC JAC meeting four days ago has died while at a private hospital in Hyderabad while undergoing treatment.
The police shifted the body to the deceased's native place Athamkuru amid tight security. Also, the police beefed up security at his home to prevent any untoward incidents. The TSRTC conductor has a wife and two daughters.
On Saturday, the chief minister has announced to privatize 50 per cent of the TSRTC. K Chandrasekhar Rao said that around 5000 buses will be privatized out of the total 10,000 buses. "The decision has been taken based on the act passed by the Parliament," he added.
However, the government will finalize the routes and the bus fares will be charged by the corporation.
