Wine shops to remain closed for 3 days

Hyderabad: In view Lok Sabha elections, the Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Monday issued orders for closure of toddy, wine shops, bars attached to restaurants, military canteen, besides bars in star hotels and registered clubs in Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

According to orders, the toddy, wine shops and bars should remain closed from 6 pm on Tuesday to 6 pm on Thursday.

The Police Commissioner also issued prohibitory orders under section 144 CrPC, banning assembly of more than five persons in public places, carrying weapons and taking out processions within a radius of 200 metres from polling stations.

He said the prohibitory orders will remain in force from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday.
