Yellareddy set for major road and power infrastructure upgrade
Kamareddy: Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Seethakka and Yellareddy MLA Madan Mohan laid the foundation stone for road development works worth Rs. 42.80 crore in Yellareddy constituency on Tuesday.
The works cover 71.63 kilometres of Panchayat Raj roads under the first phase of the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) scheme. The foundation stone was laid at Moshampur crossroads, between Posanipet and Rangampet villages in Ramareddy mandal.
The Minister and MLA later inaugurated a Mahila Samakhya building in Posanipet, constructed at a cost of Rs. 10 lakh. They stressed the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment and economic self-reliance.
They also inspected proposed electricity substation sites in Gidda and Kupriyal villages. Madan Mohan said substations costing Rs. 2.88 crore and Rs. 2.63 crore, respectively, would improve power supply to farmers and neighbouring villages.
Seethakka praised the MLA’s efforts in securing approval for seven substations and assured government support for constituency development. District Collector Ashish Sangwan said the administration would coordinate with departments to ensure timely execution of development works.
Officials, public representatives, Congress leaders and villagers attended the programmes.
