RTPP achieves record power generation

Vijayawada: In a significant milestone in the history of Andhra Pradesh’s power sector, APGenco has set a new record with unprecedented power generation at the Rayalaseema Thermal Power Project (RTPP).
Under the guidance of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the 1,650 MW RTPP recorded its highest-ever generation by producing 1,643 MW of power on Wednesday.
Expressing pleasure over the achievement, energy minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar congratulated the engineers and staff of APGenco for their exceptional performance. He noted that the plant achieved a Plant Load Factor (PLF) of 99.58 percent for the first time in its history, calling it a remarkable accomplishment. The minister attributed this record to the dedication and tireless efforts of Genco engineers working towards realising the Chief Minister’s vision. He urged them to continue the same spirit and achieve greater milestones in the future. Emphasising coordinated efforts, the minister also called upon DISCOMs and Transco engineers to work collectively to ensure the supply of quality power to consumers at an affordable cost.
