EC told not to release poll schedule

​Hyderabad: The Division Bench of the Hyderabad High Court, comprising Chief Justice T B Radhakrishnan and Justice S V Bhatt, on Friday heard a petition moved by senior Congress leader Marri Sashidhar Reddy. Senior counsel Jandhyala Ravi Shankar, representing the petitioner, submitted to the court that the Supreme Court on Thursday had directed the petitioner to approach the High Court of Hyderabad in regard to bogus voters in electoral rolls in the State and also on the issue of advancing  the revision of voters' list.

After submission of the SC order copy to the High Court, the court heard the counsel and directed the EC to submit its reply on Monday.  The court also directed the EC to not to announce the poll schedule unless the matter is decided conclusively by the HC besides posting it to Monday.
