Lunar Eclipse 2020: On June 5, 2020, this year's second lunar eclipse will occur. The lunar eclipse will be visible in most parts of Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, South/East South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean and Antarctica.
As we all know, the Earth moves between the sun and the Moon during a lunar eclipse. There are three kinds of a lunar eclipse - Total lunar eclipse, partial lunar eclipse and penumbral lunar eclipse. The one which is occurring on June 5 is a penumbral lunar eclipse. During this type of lunar eclipse, the Earth's main shadow does not cover the Moon.

As per the timeanddate.com, on June 5 the penumbral lunar eclipse will begin at 11:15 pm and ends on June 6 at 2:34 am.
The lunar eclipse will last for a total duration of three hours and 19 minutes. At 12:54 am the lunar eclipse will be visible at its full stage.
During a lunar eclipse, the Indians follow several dos and don'ts. In India, people believe that no auspicious event or activities should be performed during the period of a lunar eclipse. There are several myths and beliefs linked to eclipses.
Partial lunar eclipses are easy-to-watch with naked eyes. Anyhow, astronomers advise people to use binoculars or telescopes to watch a lunar eclipse.
The first lunar eclipse occurred on January 10, 2020. This will be the second lunar eclipse of this year, and two more will take place in July and November.
Among all these eclipses, only the eclipse occurring on June 5 will be fully visible in India, and November 29 lunar eclipse will be partially visible.
