RINS hosts advanced vascular neurosurgery workshop

Hyderabad: The Renova Institute of Neurological Sciences (RINS), Banjara Hills, launched the third edition of its “Skill Training and Hands-on Workshop on Vascular Neurosurgery” on April 1 at the College of Veterinary Science, Rajendranagar. Organised in collaboration with PAN Research Foundation and the Cerebrovascular Society of India (CVSI), the two-day programme aims to enhance surgical precision and innovation in neurovascular care.
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. M. Gnana Prakash, Vice-Chancellor of P.V. Narasimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University, in the presence of eminent neurosurgeons including Dr. D. Raja Reddy and Dr. I. Dinakar. Over 60 neurosurgeons, fellows, and residents from across India are participating. Designed as an intensive hands-on programme, the workshop features microvascular suturing, vessel anastomosis, live operative training, and endovascular simulation using advanced digital tools. The focus is on real-time skill development beyond conventional classroom learning.
Dr. Syed Ameer Basha Paspala and Dr. T.V. Ramakrishna Murthy, course directors, emphasised that the initiative aims to strengthen technical expertise, encourage innovation, and promote multidisciplinary collaboration. They noted that structured training modules will help participants gain confidence in performing complex neurovascular procedures.
