Addanki police served notices to Ramanandana on Friday. According to police, Uppalapati Srinivasa Rao, a resident of Perayapalem in Addanki Mandal, approached a private consultancy in Guntur—in 2023 to secure a job in the UK for his daughter-in-law paying money.
However, as the job did not materialize and the money was not refunded, the victim lodged a complaint with the Addanki police in June of this year, leading to the registration of a case.
A case was registered against the consultancy operators including Ramanandana's mother. Ramanandana, a UK citizen, had arrived in Hyderabad after being selected for the 'Bigg Boss' show. The police stated that she visited the Addanki police station on Friday, accompanied by her lawyer, and received the notices from the police.
