Amaravati: Sports would develop the physical and mental health of the students, said Prof Narayana Rao, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of SRM University-AP while inaugurating the Sports Fest-2020 on the varsity premises by lighting the sports torch on Saturday.
Students of various universities attended the Sports Fest-2020. Addressing the students, Prof Narayana Rao said that the students who participate in the sports and games would develop discipline in their lives and it would help them in their studies also.
He exhorted the students to adapt the life of good sports persons as that would help them to create new ideas and improve their physical fitness as well. He said the sports and games would even help heal some diseases and make them self-confident. He appealed to the parents and the faculty to encourage their children to participate in sports and games for their better future. University Registrar Dr Gunasekharan, Fest convener Dr Vinod Kumar, physical director Abdul Mohimin and others were present.
