AP govt issues alert amid forecasted Depressions

In view of the forecast of the occurrence of depressions in the state, the government of Andhra Pradesh issued an alert. The department of meteorology has forecasted moderate to heavy rains in many districts ranging from Srikakulam to Bapatla for the next two days. Some areas of other districts are also expected to get moderate rainfall. It was added by the department that there will also be strong gusty winds due to the occurrence of depressions.
Considering the prevailing situation, home minister Vangalapudi Anitha has appealed to the people to be alert. She mentioned that the government has taken precautions to make sure that there are no inconveniences caused to the citizens because of the occurrence of depressions. She said that control rooms will operate 24 hours a day and the officials will monitor the weather conditions.
The minister advised people not to go near the trees, hoardings, and the buildings which have dilapidated.
