The government of Andhra Pradesh headed by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is making arrangements to bring ration rice and other essential commodities to the homes of the beneficiaries. The government has completed the selection of the beneficiaries by purchasing mini trucks to take rice and goods to home. On the 4th of this month the authorities conducted district wise interviews and prepared lists of beneficiaries to get the mini trucks. The lists of selected beneficiaries are approved by the District Collectors and sent to the Ministers in-charge of the respective districts. The lists are sent to the state authorities as soon as they are approved by the Minister in charge.

The list is sent to the Chief Secretary after approval by the State office. The lists will go back to the district as soon as permission is obtained from them. Mini trucks have been allotted to BC, EBC, SC, ST and minorities as prescribed by the government. The EDs of the respective corporations should talk to the bankers and give loans to the selected beneficiaries to buy them. As soon as the trucks are purchased with the beneficiaries, they are used to transport rice and other essential goods door to door by the Civil Supplies Corporation.

The Civil Supplies Corporation pays the bank loans directly to the banks in 72 installments on behalf of the beneficiaries while beneficiaries will be reimbursed at the rate of Rs.10,000 inclusive of bank loan. The vehicle will be owned by the beneficiary after 72 months. A total of 9,260 beneficiaries were selected by the authorities through various corporations. Of these, 3,800 were BCs, 1,800 were EBCs, 2,300 were SCs, 700 were STs, 556 were Muslim minorities, and 104 were Christian minorities.
