The Meteorological Department has given good news for the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. According to it, cyclonic circulation over Tamil Nadu coast and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal persists up to a height of 7.6 km above mean sea level. Additionally, trough extends from South Interior Karnataka across Tamil Nadu to Gulf of Mannar at 0.9 km above mean sea level. Under this, southwesterly and northwesterly winds will blow in the lower troposphere over the Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and rainfall in several places in the state.
The Meteorological Department said that due to cyclonic circulation, light to moderate rains or thunderstorms are expected at one or two places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. It also said that there is a chance of strong winds blowing at speeds of 40–50 kmph in some areas. The same kind of weather is expected in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.

The department said that a trough persists from South Interior Karnataka across Tamil Nadu to Gulf of Mannar at an altitude of 0.9 km above mean sea level. Under the influence of this, light to moderate rainfall is expected at isolated places in some districts of Telangana today. It also said that light to moderate rainfall is expected at isolated places on Saturday and Sunday as well. Officials say this will relieve the farmers who are waiting for rains.
