Balakrishna's former PA gets 3-year jail

Hindupur: MLA N Balakrishna's former personal assistant Sekhar has been jailed for three years by the ACB court in Nellore. A case had been filed against him way back in 2008 for possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. The ACB court on Saturday pronounced judgement sentencing him for 3 years and imposing a penalty of Rs.3 lakhs.

The former PA was accused of demanding bribes from TDP leaders and local people for getting benefits under government schemes. Later, he was removed from his post by the MLA. Sekhar was working as assistant engineer in Padmavathi University. He came on deputation as PA to MLA Balakrishna in 2014.
