Anantapur: In the past 24 hours, as many as 118 persons tested positive in the district, taking the total number of positive cases to 1,689.
The number of active cases in the district stood at 676.
The total number of positive cases who received treatment and subsequently tested negative account for 1,005 cases, while the total number of deaths stand at a mere 8.
The total number of positive cases are increasing with each passing day and the cases are going up on an ascending order.
The city has 20 containment zones and the government is spending Rs 2,800 on each corona patient for testing.
A sum of 16.80 crore had been spent so far on testing more than 60,000 corona victims.
