Nandyal: Emphasizing sustainable regional development, District Collector G Rajakumari directed officials to formulate comprehensive constituency-level vision plans in coordination with public representatives, aligning local economic potential with available resources.

Reviewing constituency vision plan units at the Collectorate on Tuesday, she stressed boosting per capita income and GDP by focusing on agriculture, horticulture, MSMEs, tourism, and services. Officials were instructed to analyze economic data, promote high-value crops, and establish accurate databases at mandal and sub-sector levels, supported by monthly economic reports and KPI tracking.

In a separate review on skill development, the Collector ordered the timely achievement of training targets and the identification of major industries with a turnover of at least Rs 500 crore and 250+ employees to serve as Anchor Industry Partners for the Dhone ITI Cluster under the PM SETU scheme.

She mandated rigorous monitoring of PMKVY, State Skill Training, DDU-GKY 2.0, and BOCW courses to ensure robust employment linkages.

Furthermore, Collector Raja Kumari directed that job melas be scaled up with wider employer participation. She instructed college managements and officials to ensure compulsory registration for all Intermediate, ITI, Polytechnic, Degree, Pharmacy, and Engineering students on the Naipunyam Portal to seamlessly connect academic qualifications with future career opportunities.
