Vijayawada: As part of election campaign, Vijayawada West constituency TDP MLA candidate Shabana Khatoon accompanied by MP Kesineni Srinivas's daughter Swetha visited 28th division here on Tuesday.
They made a door-to-door campaign in the division asking for support in elections. They visited former Mayor Mallika Begum's residence. The former Mayor welcomed and greeted both Shabana and Swetha with shawl and offered sweets.
Earlier, Mallika Begum made some controversial statements against the TDP MLA candidate on Fatwa and demanded the religious leaders not to permit Shabana to contest elections.
