Guntur: Former MLA Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao demanded action against the officials who committed irregularities in discharging their duties in elections in Gurazala Assembly constituency also. He hailed the decision of the State Election Commission for taking action against the Macherla Circle Inspector of Police and recommending action against other officials.
He said that the SEC did not postpone the elections due to Coronavirus, it is due to the YSRCP virus. He demanded fresh notification for conducting the local body elections.He said, he had never seen this type of violence in the local body elections.
In a separate statement,TDP state secretary Rayapati RangaRao demanded the SEC to release fresh notification for conducting the local body elections.
He said, due to agitation of the TDP leaders,the SEC has taken action against some officials in Guntur district.He said, YSRCP leaders attacks on weaker sections shame to the government.
