The heavy rains caused by the deep depression in Bay of Bengal have left roads in Rajam town, Vizianagaram district, inundated. Floodwaters are flowing across the Rajam-Cheepurupalli main road near Gayatri Colony.
Floodwaters have entered the streets following the overflowing of Gopinayudu Tank, causing difficulties for local residents. Traffic has come to a halt near Siripuram and Mandava Kuriti villages in Santakaviti Mandal due to the overflowing Relligadda stream.
Heavy rains have also submerged several roads in Bobbili, and Indiramma Colony is inundated. The Nagavali River is flowing furiously at the Rangarayapuram anicut.
