JC-2 inspects site for Ganesh Idol immersion in Kakinada

Kakinada: Joint Collector -2 G Rajakumari along with BJP leaders on Tuesday inspected Balagangadhar Tilak, Vinayak Sagar area near Jagannaickpur Bridge. The issues of immersion place surfaced as the smart city developmental works are in progress.
While the BJP leaders demanded for permission at the same place they conducted the immersion for the last three decades, but the smart city authorities wanted to shift the venue to I town station area.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP East Godavari unit president Y Malakondayya assured that they will not cause any obstruction for the developmental works as the immersion takes place only for two days that is on 11th and 12th of September after the Ganesh festival on 2nd of the month.
The JC-2 said that the details of inspection of the site will be informed to the district collector to find an amicable solution to the issue.
