Kadapa: Police on Saturday cracked the murder mystery of a 40-year-old married woman, in Peddakudala village of Lingala mandal, within five days. The deceased was identified as Nagamma.

Addressing media here, Superintendent of Police K K N Anburajan said that two minor boys were involved in the incident and they were sent to children's home. The SP said deceased, who married a person from Bakkanagaripalle village of Lingala mandal 20 years ago, deserted him two months ago due to various reasons. Later she had married another person from Bidinamcharla village of Sihadripuram mandal. However, he also deserted her after 9 years of marriage. The SP said presently she was staying with her mother by looking after goats.

On December 7, she went to the fields at Obulayapalle village for looking after goats where the accused allegedly misbehaved with her. During scuffle, the duo killed her by hammering with a big stone and fled the scene. While searching for daughter, the victim's mother Pullamma lodged a complaint with Lingala police in this regard. During investigation, the police nabbed the culprits after gaining some clues at scene of offence. During interrogation, the accused confessed to their crime.
