Kurnool: The Superintendent of Police (SP), Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli on Tuesday visited Mantralayam and inspected the Tungabhadra River banks.

The aim of his visiting the river bank is to set up ghats at the temple for Tungabhadra Pushkrams which are likely to be observed from 20 November to 1st December.

The SP suggested the Mutt engineer, Suresh to make arrangements for VVIP parking lots, Vinayaka ghat, watch tower and mini conference hall.

He also directed the police personnel to set up Closed Circuit (CC) Cameras, command control room in mini conference hall and new parking places at bus stand area. One lakh devotees are expected to visit the mutt for the event, he said.

He advised the temple authorities to sanitise the devotees who visit the temple to prevent the spread of corona virus. He inspected the devotees in queue lines.

Later he visited Panchalingala village and inspected the ghat. He also inspected the ghats at water pumping station near Masamaseed, Ameer Hyder Khan Nager and Sankal Bagh ghat.

CIs of Two Town police station and Taluka police station, Maheshwar Reddy and Obulesu and Sub Inspectors were present.
