Kurnool: YSR Congress party Kurnool Parliament constituency president BY Ramaiah came down heavily on BJP Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy for making baseless allegations on Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy and linking him with Srisailam scam. He demanded Byreddy to withdraw is statements made on Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy.

Addressing media persons at its party office here on Friday, Ramaiah said Byreddy Srisailam scam is nothing to do with Srisailam legislator, Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy. Byreddy with ill intention to defame the party is making allegations. It seems like that Byreddy has unearthed the scam and no one knows about it. Some irregularities have taken place at the sacred temple with which the Executive Officer (EO), KS Rama Rao and other officials have ordered a probe. And the facts have revealed that Rs.2.12 crore was misused by the employees of banks who were deployed on contract basis, he said.

But the BJP leader has been alleging as though more than Rs 100 crore was misused at the temple. And the persons that were involved in the scam are related to Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy. Why Byreddy did not question when a pink diamond was missed at Tirumala Tirupati,'' asked Ramaiah.

The parliament president said the people of Kurnool district have almost forgotten Byreddy when he got 130 votes at Nandyal by election. No one could guess to which party Byreddy would stick and how long he will stay, he said. He demanded Byreddy to withdraw the allegations made on Shilpa.
