MITS secures international recognition in UI GreenMetric Rankings 2026
Madanapalle: Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science (MITS), Deemed to be University, has earned international recognition in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026. MITS secured 704th rank globally among 2,016 institutions, 419th in Asia, and 29th in India, reflecting its commitment to environmental sustainability and green campus development. The university has been implementing initiatives in solar energy, water conservation, energy efficiency, waste management, and eco-friendly technology projects.
Founder and Chancellor Dr N Vijaya Bhaskar Choudary expressed happiness over the achievement and appreciated the collective efforts of faculty, staff, and students in promoting sustainable development.
The programme was attended by Pro-Chancellor N. Dwarakanath, Vice-Chancellor Dr. C. Yuvaraj, Registrar Dr. D. Pradeep Kumar, Principal Dr. P. Ramanathan, and other university officials.
