Nandyal: Nandyal district police have significantly enhanced security arrangements across the district to ensure the peaceful and smooth conduct of the nomination withdrawal process for ZPTC and MPTC elections on Tuesday.

Following the directives of District Superintendent of Police Suneel Sheoran, extensive police forces were deployed at all Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDO) offices under the direct supervision of respective Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs). Police personnel maintained continuous vigilance around the offices to avert any untoward incidents and guarantee strict law and order throughout the nomination withdrawal timeline.

In addition to securing nomination centers, the district police intensified round-the-clock vehicle inspections at designated check-posts across all key routes.

Armed personnel conducted thorough checks on passing vehicles to curb the illegal transportation of cash, liquor, and other prohibited inducements intended to influence voters ahead of the local body polls. Police officials reiterated that the department is maintaining heightened alert levels to facilitate a transparent, fair, and orderly electoral environment.

The department issued a stern warning that strict legal action will be initiated against anyone attempting to breach public peace, intimidate candidates, or interfere with the democratic process.
