Chittoor: Industries Minister M Goutham Reddy, who is also the district In-charge Minister, stated that the government is exploring the possibilities to revive all the 10 sick cooperative sugar factories in the state in a phased manner.

In the first phase, Renigunta Cooperative Sugar Factory will be revived and later Chittoor Cooperative Sugars will be revived, he said. The Minister earlier paid floral tributes to Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule here and recalled his great services to the people. Panchayat Raj Minister PRamachandra Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy and Chittoor MLA A.Srinivasulu were also present.

Addressing the media persons here on Thursday, Goutham Reddy said that TDP government was responsible for the defunct of the cooperative sugar factories in the state. " As per the promise made by Jagan Mohan Reddy has been taking steps for reviving all the sick cooperative institutions in a committed manner,'' he added.
