Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) celebrated International Day of Disabled Persons in the campus here on Tuesday under the aegis of Psychology department, Urdo Kids in association with Janani Deaf and Dumb School in which its students participated.

The students of the school gave dance performances and later certificates were given to them by the organizers.

Participating in the programme, University Registrar Prof S Teki underlined the need to extend necessary help to the physically challenged persons and advised the students to study them.

There are many talented persons among disabled, he said and underscored the need to tap the talent. The school representatives Karri Bhagya Rakka Sinha, Nata Sarojini and others were present.
