South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Gajanan Mallya undertook intensive inspection of Guntur-Nandyal section of Guntur Division on Saturday.

Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Gajanan Mallya undertook intensive inspection of Guntur-Nandyal section of Guntur Division on Saturday. He was accompanied by V. G. Bhooma, Divisional Railway Manager, Guntur Division throughout the inspection.

Gajanan Mallya commenced the inspection Guntur Railway Station. He under took detailed inspection of the station, covering Passenger amenities available including food stalls and divyang facilities, waiting halls, Booking Office, Station Masters room and circulating area etc. He inaugurated newly constructed Type-III Staff Quarters near Guntur Railway Station. He also inspected the progress of works for construction of Railway Hospital.

During the course of inspection, the General Manager handed over the new Trolley Bags to Guards for easy mobility during the course of duty. He also handed over the Welding Tool Kits to Welders and Rain Coats to Signaling Staff of Guntur Division to ease their work on tracks. Later, Gajanan Mallya conducted Rear Window inspection between Nallapadu-Nandyal section to check the track condition, signaling system and OHE on the section.

At Narasaraopet, the General Manager inspected Station Master's Room, Ticket counters, station building and entire station premises including passenger amenities available at station. He inspected Road Under Bridge works between Guntur-Nandyal section. He inspected Railway Hospital at Donakonda Railway Station. He planted saplings at Donakonda Railway Station. Mallya inspected doubling works between Guntur and Nandyal section. He also inspected Level Crossing Gate between Guntur and Nandyal section and enquired about the safety aspects and procedures followed by gateman.

Nandyal MP P. Bramhananda Reddy met the General Manager at Nandyal Railway Station and discussed the developmental works in his region.
