Narasaraopet: Palnadu District Superintendent of Police Jagadish Adahalli made a surprise inspection of the Rompicherla Police Station on Thursday, with the aim of ensuring that the coming local body elections are conducted in a peaceful manner.
He inspected the police station and its surroundings. He later examined the station records and reviewed the registration and status of cases. He directed the police officials to take steps to speed up the disposal of pending cases. He enquired about the law and order situation in the station limits.
He instructed the officials to take special measures to prevent road accidents and adopt preventive measures to ensure that no crimes take place within the station limits. He instructed the police personnel to remain accessible to the public and provide better services to strengthen public confidence in the police department.
In view of the ensuing local body elections, he advised the staff to collect information at the field level in the villages allotted to them and regularly bring it to the notice of their higher officials. Narasaraopet Rural Circle CI MV Subbarao, Rompicherla SI Lokeshwara Rao and other police personnel were present.
