Bhimavaram: Two NSS cadets from Sagi Ramakrishnam Raju (SRKR) Engineering College here have been selected for the pre-Republic Day parade, college principal Dr KV Murali Krishna Raju said on Monday.
The selected cadets are Senior Under Officer Mullu Srinu and Junior Under Officer Murari Uha. Ganivada Manikantha has been selected as a reserve cadet. The college management felicitated the selected cadets. College director Dr M Jagapathi Raju and principal Dr KV Murali Krishna Raju congratulated them on the achievement. NSS Programme Officer Dr KNV Satyanarayana said 45 cadets from 110 NSS units under the jurisdiction of JNTU-K had been shortlisted for the preliminary selection.
The selected cadets will attend the West Zone camp at Anurag University in Hyderabad from November 10 to 19. Cadets selected from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli will undergo training at the Hyderabad camp. College president Sagi Prasada Raju and Secretary Sagi Ramakrishna Nishanth Varma congratulated the selected students.
