Tirupati/Hyderabad: The TTD satellite channel, Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel, has gone off the air for the past two days causing great disappointment to devotees.

It may be mentioned here that the SVBC channel had become more popular after the Corona pandemic struck the country. To seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara in warding off the deadly virus, SVBC had started two interesting programmes, Dhanwantari Parayanam, which lasted for over 60 days. Continuing the programme, it has now taken up Sundarakanda Parayanam from Naada Neerajanam between 7 am and 8 am.

Later for one hour, the SVBC telecasts another live programme Veda Parayanam from Ranganayaka Mandapam at 9 am. But for the last two days, this channel had gone off air and there was no official clarification as to why it had happened.

On Thursday, perhaps following complaints by devotees, the TTD came up with a press note saying that the website domain was not renewed. It had expired on June 30. The reason given for the failure of the TTD to renew the website domain was because some people were affected by corona. Measures were being taken to renew the domain as early as possible, it added.
