Vizianagaram: Central Tribal University {CTU) has initiated the process to conduct online classes for its students in the State. Andhra University is acting as mentor to oversee functioning of the CTU under control of Special Officer Prof H Lajipathi Rai, a former vice chancellor.
The academic year was disturbed due to lockdown. The Special Officer stated that conducting classes in a conventional mode was a remote possibility due to lockdown. In response to the directive given by the UGC, the CTU prepared an action plan to launch online classes to complete unfinished portion of the syllabi to save the academic year and prepare for new academic year from September 1.
As part of this, the Special Officer conducted orientation course for the faculty through relevant apps. All matters relating to networking with students, preparation of online teaching schedule, access to study materials, and other relevant issues were discussed. As many 25 faculty members participated in the orientation programme.
