Remember how TVS discontinued the Jupiter Grande back in June? Well, it's back with some tasty new features
TVS has launched the Jupiter Grande edition at Rs 59,990. Now, you might remember that they did sell a scooter called Jupiter Grande before, only to discontinue it and give its features to the Jupiter ZX later. So what's new and what's been carried over in the just-launched Jupiter Grande?

Bodywork:
The new Jupiter Grande edition comes in a new colour called Tech Blue. It also gets a chrome trim on the front fender and a two-tone Grande badge on the side panels. Other than that the scooter shares the same bodywork including the beige panels, cross-stitched maroon seat, half chrome mirrors and machined alloy wheels with its predecessor.
Underpinnings:
These remain unchanged. It still gets the front telescopic fork and adjustable rear monoshock setup. Braking is via a front disc and rear drum with TVS' Sync Braking Technology which essentially combined braking technology. The scooter continues to ride on 12-inch wheels as before.
Features:
Like its predecessor, the Jupiter Grande too gets a semi-digital instrument console. However, the console now gets a silver surround. The biggest update on the scooter is Bluetooth connectivity that allows you to connect your smartphone to the display via the TVS Connect app. It allows you to receive calls and text notifications on the semi-digital instrument console. The notification feature though only works with the android TVS app. It also shows vehicle information like trip statistics and service reminders. The LED headlamp too has been carried over but now gets a chrome surround for a premium look.
Engine:
The 109.7cc motor remains unchanged and continues to make the same 10.87PS and 8Nm. This motor is refined and quite fuel-efficient.
The New Jupiter Grande costs only Rs 252 over its discontinued predecessor. For that small premium, you do get a lot and in that sense, the new Jupiter Grand offers excellent value.
