Hyd residential sales value rises 4%during Jan-Sept
Hyderabad: Around 55,715 residential property registrations were recorded in Hyderabad duringJanuary–September 2026, remaining broadly stable year-on-year, while the value of transactions rose 4 per cent toRs39,910 crore, according to Knight Frank India.
However, September registrations declined 15 per cent year-on-year and 5 per cent month-on-month to 5,620units. Transaction value fell 7 per cent year-on-year and 2 per cent month-on-month to Rs4,487 crore.
Homes priced above Rs1 crore accounted for 56 per cent of September’s transaction value, up from 54 per cent ayear earlier, highlighting the growing contribution of premium housing despite subdued market activity.
Shishir Baijal, International Partner, Chairman and Managing Director, Knight Frank India, said, “Hyderabad’s residential market remained stable registration volumes during January-September 2026, while the value of registered transactions increased 4 per cent year-on-year. However, monthly activity remains uneven, with September 2026 registrations declining 15 per cent year-on-year and transaction value falling 7 per cent.
Despite the monthly moderation, homes priced above INR 1 crore accounted for 56 per cent of September’s transaction value, compared with 54 per cent a year ago. This highlights the growing contribution of higher-ticket housing to the overall value of registered transactions, even as registration volumes remain subdued.”
During the first nine months of 2026, registrations of homes priced above Rs1 crore increased 2 per cent year-on-year, while transaction value in the segment grew 6 per cent. In September, registrations fell across allprice categories, with homes below Rs50 lakh recording the steepest decline of 20 per cent.
