One Man Mission : How Meaningful Change Can Begin with One Individual

Bittu Tabahi comes from a humble background; many young people of his age are busy improving their skillset to make their future bright, but this young one stood differently. Instead of concentrating on himself and his path to success, he had a mission which not only does good to you but for all.

His mission was to clean Ajnar River; he took 3 months each day to clean the river and take the videos of work. Initially, people mocked him, saying to get people's attention and to make reels you are doing this work. He did not pay much attention to it and his only focus was to clean the rive

Within the span of 3 months the river was cleaned and when compared to the earlier picture of the river one can see so much dirt and piles of plastic thrown in the river.

Bittu did not have any professional equipment or proper safety gear; he began manually removing the waste from the river. At the time, he did not even know how to swim. He also spent his own savings to purchase the basic supplies needed to clean the river.

Dutch Environmentalist Offers Bittu A Job

Bittu’s work eventually caught the attention of Boyan Slat, founder and CEO of Netherlands-based environmental organisation The Ocean Cleanup. Impressed by the initiative, Slat responded with a short but significant message “ Come Work for us”

One million followers

Bittu recently crossed one million followers on Instagram; this is another major milestone in his life. He thanked people for their support for his river-cleaning mission.

Madhya Pradhesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav

Madhya Pradesh CM invited Bittu to the CM's house; they both met and discussed his efforts to revive the Ajnar River. The CM praised Bittu’s initiative and assured him of the Government support.
