Trek Bicycle bets on Hyderabad market
Trek Bicycle, a global bicycle brand with operations in over 100 countries, which launched its sales in the city recently, is betting big on the market here.
Hyderabad: Trek Bicycle, a global bicycle brand with operations in over 100 countries, which launched its sales in the city recently, is betting big on the market here.
The bicycle brand partnered with city-based Yellow Jersey to retail its various models across road, mountain, and hybrid categories in the premium and super premium segment.
"Cycling enthusiasts in the city will now be able to choose from a wide range of cycling parts, accessories, merchandise, and riding gear offered by Trek," said Navneet Banka, Country Manager, Trek Bicycle India.
He further said that Trek had been building bicycles for the past 40 years. "Our customer centric strategy has helped us immensely as our customers have given us an overwhelming response in every market that we have entered.
Hyderabad has a rich cycling culture and offers a promising market for Trek," he explained.
On partnering with Trek, Shilpa Shah, Dealer Partner Yellow Jersey, said: "Over the years, cycling as a sport and as a recreational activity has seen tremendous growth in Hyderabad.
The city has many cycling trails for both leisure and competitive riders.
It is a common sight to see groups of cyclists pedalling around the Deccan and participate in cycling events". A lot of people are adopting cycling as a way to stay fit as well as contribute towards the environment, she added.
The Trek range in India starts at Rs 32,000 and depending on a consumer's specification, customized and performance bicycles can cost up to Rs 20 lakhs.
The company partnered with HDFC Bank to provide consumer finance that offers zero down payment.
