HBD Mammootty: Mammootty Makes His Comeback To Kollywood As A Gangster

India’s legendary actor Mammootty turned a year older and is celebrating his 75th birthday today. On this special occasion, most of his fans and co-stars are showering birthday love through social media. Along with these wishes, the makers of his upcoming films are also unveiling exciting updates on social media.

Well, having a career span of almost 50 years, Mammootty also acted in Tollywood, Kollywood and Bollywood sharing screen space with most of the ace actors. And now, after a long time he is making his comeback to Tamil cinema with OM movie. Being a gangster drama, the latest promo introduced him as Karthikeyan whose smuggling backdrop makes him the most-wanted among the locals and police too.

On the other hand, Mammootty aka Karthikeyan aka Siya describes himself as gold with small traces of copper mixed in in the video, revealing that his character’s grey shade in the movie. Om marks Mammooty’s return to Tamil cinema after seven long years.

Well, this movie also has an ensemble cast of Dhanush, Sreeleela, Sai Pallavi, Indrans and Naseeruddin Shah. This Rajkumar Periasamy directorial is scheduled to hit the big screens on 16th October, 2026.

On the other hand, the makers of Mela also dropped the intense first look Mammootty and raised the expectations on this action thriller.
