The festival of colours brings with it much joy and with it comes the over exuberant kids wanting to play with colours and fully enjoy the day. The spirit of the day is such that parents cannot do much but indulge their kids; this despite knowing the dangers, the foremost being chemicals in the colours that are harmful to skin. Animals are mute witness to the festivities and sometimes bear the brunt of the overzealous. All it needs is to follow a few safety precautions to ensure a safe Holi, and then all will be well.
