Even before the month of Ramadan begins, women start stocking their kitchen with groceries. Women appear much more worried about cooking and they don't take rest in the holy month

Unfortunately, during this month, when people are supposed to spend less time eating, women spend much of their time in the kitchen cooking the truths of the dishes. When we are talking about Ramadan it is different for mothers and sisters, they are busy cooking until the time of sunset, while the rest of the family waits tired and hungry.

Perhaps people ignore the fact that women too fast all day. The rationale behind this is that cooking and taking care of family and children is equally rewarding. Of course, any act performed with the pure intention of pleasing God.

However, why should there be additional stress in the kitchen? If the month is about reducing food consumption and controlling our desire, and if we really care about the spiritual opportunities of the month, then we should expect less cooking, more adoration, but for women it is the other way around.

Women also need time for spiritual participation in this special period, which is supposed to be different from daily life. Instead of reducing domestic work, these tasks are duplicated. It's very common to notice that while female members in the house toil in the kitchen along with other household chores, males are seen either sleeping or relaxing.

And the most interesting part is that even after the whole day of sleeping and relaxing, they are given special attention on Iftar. The most common scene in almost every house is that the ladies keep running here and there giving their last touch to the dastar of Iftar when listening to the maghrib adaan. Some even break up there fast while they are busy serving. And the rest of the family is still sitting idle and waiting for the big plate that breaks fast.

The last moments of the fast of the day should be spent making much du'a and asking Allah for His mercy, blessings and forgiveness. Unfortunately, women are deprived of following du'a at this blessed moment.
