Yet another step towards eco-friendly solutions
A clean and green environment is the need to the hour.
A clean and green environment is the need to the hour. It takes minimal effort to make the surroundings healthy and clean and be aware of the amount of damage we cause to the earth by using plastic.
Kritika Saxena, the girl who is famously known for seed flag that she made for the Independence Day is back with yet another concept of conserving environment. In a bid to find alternatives and help people adapt healthy practices, she came back with yet another successful story of handmade chemical-free soap.
Labeling her idea as 'Vritt' which means circle symbolizing the adage - what goes, comes around - she has certainly amazed people with the idea. "I have learnt to make chemical-free soap and I am right now in the trial phase of trying it out with people I know. My friends tried it and I am getting great response from people as well."
She has now made her sustainable soaps and shampoos available on Instagram and Facebook page Vrittalife. "People can use these products and also customize them for gifting," she shares.
The idea began with a desire to find alternative to chemical based cosmetics. "I make soaps using pure oils like coconut, olive oil and castor oil. No palm oil is used in my products as palm vegetation leads to deforestation.
I have also made sure that there is no artificial fragrance used in my product. And when I made these soaps and shampoos, I also wanted the packaging to be environmental-friendly."
Kritika has a whole new concept of packing these products with bio-degradable materials, "For storing these products I use steel containers and when it comes to the packing, I use mantharai leaves and seed paper which again is an ecofriendly solution and most of the time you can find my products wrapped in leaves."
"They are made from pure oils like coconut, olive oil and castor oil which are pure and essential.
The commercial markets are all dependent on chemicals for mass production of soaps so I concentrated on chemical free soaps. No palm oil used in my products as palm vegetation leads to deforestation. I have also made sure that there is no artificial fragrance used in my product."
Usually when it comes to the matters of handmade products it all depends on beautifying it with fancy stuff, but for her it is about keeping it basic, "I do not use fancy tags or any other materials that are not environmental friendly I makes sure that everything is used to make the product sustainable."
Kritika believes that people would realise the value of making the world an ecofriendly one, and by creating sustainable solutions, she hopes to play her part in creating a safe environment.
