SAT stands for the Scholastic Assessment Test, earlier known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test.

SAT stands for the Scholastic Assessment Test, earlier known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test. It is a standardised internationally acclaimed test that is taken to pursue undergraduate courses, and get admission into more than 30 colleges and universities in India and over 700 around the world.

The SAT is developed and published by the College Board. SAT exam evaluates the verbal, written and mathematical skills of the candidates.

In the SAT, students are evaluated on parameters like the computational ability of command of evidence, reading comprehension of words in context, and analysis in science and social studies.

Note: Additional administration in August 2020, the registration will begin on April 2020.

Follow these steps to register online for the SAT

1. Log in to your College Board account

2. Fill in your full name and other identification details. Ensure that the name you entered is similar to the photo ID that you are submitting (a valid passport or Aadhaar card)

3. Choose other questions that you wish to answer about yourself. This is time-consuming, but it's worth it if you want colleges and scholarship organisations to find you

4. See if you're going to sign up for SAT with Essay

5. Upload a photo as per the specified photo requirements, stated on the website

6. For future reference take a print out of your Admission Ticket
