The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Hyderabad, in association with the Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER) and the Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET), organised a Technology Roadshow at CSIR–National Geophysical Research Institute (CSIR-NGRI), Hyderabad recently. The event was held as a precursor to Tec-Verse 2026, scheduled for November 26 and 27 at the Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai.

The roadshow aimed to showcase indigenous technologies, products and solutions developed by the three organisations and encourage research, development and innovation in electronics and information technology. It brought together representatives from industry, startups, research organisations and academic institutions, as well as faculty members and students, to explore emerging technologies and opportunities for collaboration.

Delivering the welcome address, Dr. Ch. Murty, Executive Director of C-DAC, Hyderabad, highlighted the role of the roadshow in the broader Tec-Verse 2026 initiative. He emphasised the importance of connecting research institutions with industry and academia to support the development and deployment of new technologies.

Dr. H.V.S. Satyanarayana, Scientist G and In-charge Director of CSIR-NGRI, spoke about the ongoing research and development collaborations between CSIR-NGRI and C-DAC. He also highlighted opportunities to strengthen institutional partnerships through interdisciplinary research and technology development. Shri Kakumanu Srinivasa, CEO and Managing Director of MosChip Technologies Ltd., and Prof. Sandeep Kumar Shukla of IIIT Hyderabad attended as Guests of Honour.

Technical presentations by C-DAC, C-MET, Hyderabad, and SAMEER, Visakhapatnam, covered their research initiatives, indigenous technologies, products, solutions and services. Two parallel technical sessions focused on emerging areas, including cybersecurity, quantum technologies and the opportunities and challenges they present for India, artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT).

The sessions provided a forum for participants to discuss developments, challenges and potential applications in these fields. An exhibition held alongside the programme displayed technologies, products and solutions developed by the three participating organisations. Attendees had the opportunity to interact with technology developers and learn about the applications and potential uses of the showcased innovations.

The event also facilitated discussions among representatives from industry, startups, research institutions and academia. These interactions explored possible avenues for collaboration and highlighted the role of indigenous research and technology development in the electronics and information technology sectors.

The Hyderabad roadshow formed part of the build-up to Tec-Verse 2026, providing a platform to present research outcomes, encourage engagement among stakeholders and increase awareness of technology development initiatives in India. The upcoming event in Chennai is expected to bring together participants from across the technology ecosystem to explore developments and collaboration opportunities in these sectors.
