IIM invites applications for second cohort of blended MBA for working professionals

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur has opened applications for the second cohort of its Blended MBA Programme for Working Professionals, following the successful launch of the inaugural batch. Offered in collaboration with Jaro Education, the two-year programme is designed for mid- and senior-level professionals seeking to strengthen their managerial, strategic and leadership skills without interrupting their careers.
As organisations increasingly look for leaders capable of driving digital transformation, managing cross-functional teams and making data-driven decisions, demand for flexible executive education has grown significantly. The blended MBA programme addresses this need by combining live online learning with on-campus academic engagement, enabling professionals to balance work and higher education.
The inaugural cohort attracted participants from a wide range of sectors, including information technology, healthcare, manufacturing, oil and gas, finance, consulting, banking, aerospace and edtech. The batch represented professionals with two to 20 years of work experience from states such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Delhi, Bihar, Punjab and Tamil Nadu, reflecting the growing popularity of flexible management education across industries.
The programme features live online classes complemented by four campus immersion modules at IIM Nagpur, providing participants with opportunities for experiential learning, networking and direct interaction with faculty and peers. Sessions will be led by IIM Nagpur faculty members and industry experts, with a curriculum focused on case studies, business simulations and practical projects that can be applied immediately in workplace settings.
Prof. Debarun Chakraborty, Chairperson of the Blended MBA for Working Professionals at IIM Nagpur, said the programme has been designed to help professionals transition from specialised functional roles to broader managerial and leadership responsibilities. He noted that the blended format enables participants to apply classroom learning directly within their organisations, creating an immediate impact on performance and decision-making.
Applications for the first round of admissions will close on July 12, 2026, with the selection process and results scheduled later in July. The second admission round will continue until August 31, followed by a third round extending through October 2026.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50 per cent marks and possess a minimum of three years of work experience. The application fee is Rs 2,500, while the total programme fee is Rs 12.10 lakh.
With its flexible learning model, experienced faculty and industry-focused curriculum, the Blended MBA aims to equip professionals with the strategic, analytical and leadership capabilities required to navigate complex business environments while continuing to advance in their careers.
