Anthem Disruption Video from Shiradi Goes Viral

Mangaluru: A video of a former Shiradi Grama Panchayat president raising slogans of protest during the national anthem are doing the rounds on social media and have been receiving wide-ranging condemnation. Demands to arrest Paulose of Shiradi Village have been growing by the hour.

People of the Shiradi Grama Panchayat in Kadaba taluk of Dakshina Kannada condemned the conduct at the end of a panchayat programme held recently, when the anthem was being sung. The former president is also described as having insulted the national anthem and cried abuses in the middle of it.

Police said the local Panchayat Development Officer has been told to file a complaint in this regard. It happened ten days ago and is now being circulated on social media platforms. Police are investigating the matter.
